Hi Hye,
You might know me as the crazy lady from ebay, anngar*designs, who begs for fast shipment of tornado crimps after i procrastinate buying them. You have always been so kind. Anyway, you invited me, via a little message in my last order to showcase my work. I have an awesome bracelet up for sale on etsy right now that would not be the quality it is except for those tornado crimps. I would be honored if you would "showcase" my bracelet. I designed it on behalf of all cancer survivors (very long story) who I have met the last three years who are anything but pastel. They are strong and bold, just like the bracelet. I wanted to make something that shouted, "look at me, not because I have no hair, because I am adorned and beautiful!" Hence, the bracelet. I would love to send you a picture if you can direct me to an email address? Or you can see the bracelet by going to my etsy store: anngardesigns@etsy.com The bracelet is called Bold Black Beautiful. thanks for the invite. Annie

Thought you may like to know that tanzanite has now been added as a birthstone for December.

<em>Suzanne answers: Thanks for the info! I will make the appropriate change. How nice to have tanzanite on the list - I love the classic purple-periwinkle color of tanzanite.

I'm having a hard time finding size 2 seed beads. I've found a couple, but there were only 2 or 3 colours. Does anyone know where there is a selection? Also I have never heard the word "ornela" What is it?

<em>Suzanne replies: You may be able to find size 2 seed beads from York Novelty Imports in NYC, or Shipwreck Beads. Just to be clear, we are talking about very large seed beads, not bugle beads, which are sometimes called 2s as well. Ornela is the name of the factory which produces "Ornela" seed beads. It is in the Czech Republic.

Hi, Suzanne,
Thanks for the great comments about my work! I am constantly inspired by colors in lampwork beads.
I'm not sure if you have mentioned that in addition to this blog and selling on Ebay, that you also have a retail store. Would you list your hours? I need to come by to buy some supplies for a class I'm teaching next week.
 Thanks,

 Patti

<em>Suzanne replies: If you check the "about me" section, I now list the address and hours of my store.

Dear Suzanne
Thank you for all your tips and hints, incrediblely helpful. Please can you give me some idea though on how many grams there are to a tube of beads? I realise the size of bead affects weight and number in tube, but is there a standard tube size i.e. 6 inches, etc., or does it vary with each seller?
Many thanks and best wishes
Micki Hollington

<em>Suzanne answers: You are right that the size of the bead will affect the weight, and the finish on the bead can have an affect as well. But generally speaking, a 3" tube will have approximate 12 grams of beads, and a 6" tube will have approximate 28 grams.

I agree, I think a lariat is any open-ended necklace that is self fastening. The last part matters, since a neck ring has no clasp but still wouldn't be a lariat, right? Jeri

<em>Suzanne replies: Makes sense to me! It does have to be self-fastening; although there are "faux lariats" which have a clasp and just give the appearance of a lariat-style necklace.
