Hi, Suzanne, we have a mutual friend, Rhoda Wagman and she has told me about your store. She says you have a great variety of findings. I’m thiking of coming around on a Saturday in the near future. Rhoda says to contact you when I’ll be coming by so I’ll give you a call before I go to make sure you’ll be around. I’m thrilled that there is another bead store in the area and will definitely come by to the store as the time for making Christmas gifts is coming.

You will probably be using a very fine silk, so one spool would most likely be enough. A 1/2 ounce spool carries yards and yards of silk.

Generally speaking, for pearls you would use size D or E. If they are tiny pearls, you might need to go smaller, to a C or B. It isn’t the size of the pearls that counts, it’s the size of the hole in the pearls! So you really have to take a good look at the pearl and see how it is drilled.
